Office 365 Accounts Hit with Brute-Force Attack

A recent brute-force attack recently impacted Microsoft Office 365 users at some major organizations across the country.

According to Infosecurity Magazine, attackers attempted to log in to corporate Office 365 accounts belonging to high-level employees. Skyhigh Networks tracked over 100,000 failed login attempts from 67 IP addresses and 12 networks.

The attackers attempted to log in with various combinations of usernames and passwords. Infosecurity reported that the attackers maintained a slow and low attack pattern to avoid detection and obtain as much data as possible.
