Export & Restore Google Drive Folders

It seems that many of you have started taking full advantage of the folder and subfolder options available in Google Drive. I applaud you, because as a slightly disorganized person, I am still addicted to Google’s search capabilities to find my data. However at Backupify, it’s not about us, it’s about you. And so I am happy to let you know that we now preserve folder hierarchy on all Google Drive service exports and full account restores.

This means that were you to export a user’s Google Drive account, you would have all the contents grouped into their original folders and subfolders. Same goes if you had to restore your entire Google Drive account. Your Backupify restore would maintain the folder structure and hierarchy. And best yet, all the documents’ sharing privileges are restored as well, ensuring that your business never misses a beat.

When looking for data to restore you can also use our search tool to find content within a specific Google Drive folder. To do this, just put quotes around the folder name you want to search.
