Austin is the chief innovator and driving force behind Datto. When Austin founded Datto in 2007 his goal was to create the best backup and disaster recovery (BDR) and business continuity (BC) solution available; he succeeded.Concurrently, he has led Datto to incredible growth.
Datto has made the coveted Inc. 500 for three consecutive years, in 2012, 2013 and 2014. The company has also received numerous industry awards, for company growth, product excellence and technical support.

Austin is major shareholder at Datto. He has a degree in Bioinformatics from Rochester Institute of Technology, and holds several patents. In 2014 he was named a Finalist for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, as well as named a CRN Top 25 Innovator and a CRN Top 50 Midmarket IT Vendor Executive. Austin sits on the Board of the Connecticut Technology Council.
Michelle oversees Datto’s finance and human resources organizations. She brings over 20 years of financial expertise in small to large, private and public, U.S. and internationally based companies in a variety of industries and markets. Michelle began her finance career in public accounting with Ernst & Young LLP in California’s Silicon Valley, subsequently joining emerging technology companies which lead her to a variety of opportunities within and outside the U.S. Her most recent appointment prior to joining Datto was CFO of Bloomberg’s Financial Products division.
Michelle thrives on a fast growing, high paced, challenging environment such as Datto. She holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting and is a licensed CPA from the State of California. She is a member of the California Board of Accountants, American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and Financial Executives International (FEI).
Michael is responsible for managing Datto’s legal affairs, including data security and privacy compliance, management of Datto’s intellectual property portfolio and advising the company’s management and board of directors on legal, strategic and corporate governance matters.
Prior to joining Datto, Michael held senior legal positions at Toluna, a leading online market research technology and data collection provider, as well as MicroWarehouse, which, prior to its sale, was a leading technology reseller.
Michael received his J.D. cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.A. with honors in Political Science from the University of Vermont.
Robert is responsible for managing Datto’s development and infrastructure initiatives in support of its comprehensive data backup and protection platform.
Prior to Datto, Robert spent 15 years as a software engineer and CTO leading teams of developers building high-uptime enterprise applications for Fortune 500 clients, including building one of the highest trafficked web advertising distribution networks and an enterprise digital asset management system deployed to thousands of end-users.
Robert holds a B.S. in Policy Analysis and Management from Cornell University, a J.D. from Fordham University, and an M.S. in Computer Science from New York University.
Rob is responsible for expanding Datto’s cloud-to-cloud backup business, and currently oversees the Marketing and Business Development teams. Rob has a unique pulse on the cloud backup space; his unique vision and insight make him a tremendous asset both to Datto and its customers.
Most recently Rob was the founder and CEO of Backupify, which Datto acquired in December 2014. He began his career as an engineer at Harris Corporation; from there he held several business development and management positions at multiple startups. In addition, he started and sold the successful blog, Business Pundit, and is a contributing writer to VentureBeat and Wired.
Bryan oversees the U.S. and Canadian sales teams. He brings over 15 years of sales leadership experience within IT infrastructure, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery and cloud services where he was strategically aligned with Channel Partners. Prior to Datto, Bryan was Vice President of Sales with Sungard Availability Services, where he worked for nine years.
Bryan holds a B.A. from Ohio University.
