When we approached the redesign of the Backupify interface, the team took a very user-centric approach, which is a fancy way of saying that we asked our customers what they wanted. Over the years, we’ve heard many great ideas from our customers about what they wanted to see in the product. We were also itching to implement some cool features that we came up with internally. To get to the final product, we followed the “lather, rinse, repeat” process of mocking up a design, showing it to users and iterating until the feedback was positive. We also, not surprisingly, needed to get everyone within the company on board. A redesign takes time, dedication, and A LOT of caffeine.
