An important part of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance is the ability to ensure the ongoing confidentiality, integrity, and availability of processing systems and services. It is also critical to be able to restore the availability and access to personal data in a timely manner in the event of a physical or technical incident.
Backupify supports GDPR compliance by giving you the ability to restore SaaS data quickly, in the way you need, for the length of time that you need.
Data Retention & User Data Deletion
Under GDPR, it is important for you to determine how long you would like to retain your data. Backupify provides a number of options that you can use to tailor your data retention schedules to your needs. Our Custom Data Retention feature allows you to store data for the length of time that you specify - choose to keep data for as long as a few days, years, or indefinitely.
Should you encounter a request for a user’s data to be purged, we make it easy to delete data from our system. When users are removed from the seat management dashboard, their data is deleted from Backupify. If you wish to retain data of former employees, you may keep them as an “Archived” user which will retain their backup history.
Our support team has the ability to delete individual point in time backups (snapshots) if you deem them necessary to remove. Deleting any snapshot or group of snapshots will not affect your backup schedule, giving you the ability to respond to user requests while still keeping an efficient set of backup data.
